About Me

I have been teaching for only four years: one year in Chula Vista, California and three years in Colorado Springs, Colorado.  Both of the high schools that I have taught in are filled with teachers that care deeply about their students and yet feel frustrated with the system at times.  I have been inspired by the amazing teachers that poured all of their expertise into me from the decades of their teaching experience and I know in every fiber of my being that my destiny, my passion is to teach.  I never wanted to be an English teacher because most English teacher I had seemed so disconnected with the “real” world and they never seemed very happy.  As simple as it sounds, I had to realize that I could be as vibrant and alive and open as I wanted in a classroom.
